We The People Rise is a values-first civic initiative dedicated to advocating for democratic participation, practical leadership, and environmental responsibility in America. We believe that with a few thoughtful shifts—such as centering people and the environment and profit—we can fix our planet, strengthen communities, and make the promise of “We the People” truly inclusive and real.

Our mission is to empower everyday citizens—bridge-builders, dreamers, doers—to rise together, take collective action, and foster a civic culture rooted in belonging, agency, and compassion. We point the way forward.

Founder — Kristin Hiemstra, M.Ed., PCC, CCPC

Kristin Hiemstra is a dynamic and accomplished leader, charismatic TEDx speaker, and visionary coach known for igniting transformation wherever she goes. Based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, she brings over 20 years of success as a business owner, educator, and leadership strategist. With a powerful blend of emotional intelligence mastery, cultural insight, and community-driven values, Kristin inspires others to lead with confidence, purpose, and heart.​
